In 1992 she got a Master Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Odessa Polytechnic Institute and in 1998 a master’s degree in accounting from SWU “Neofit Rilski”.
In the period 1998 – 1999 she worked as a manager and organizer of events in the private sector and in the period 1999 – 2015 was the manager of a private company for PR and advertising.
In the same period Mrs. Yordanova chaired the NGO Steering Committee of the “Association for European Initiatives in Bulgaria”, involved in projects in the field of healthy lifestyle, reduction of the consumption of alcohol, prevention of drug abuse and smoking.
In 2015 she was Chief Expert in the Drug Substances and Advice Unit at the Medicines Policy Directorate of the Ministry of Health.
In May of that same year she was appointed Secretary of the National Council on Narcotic Substances to the Council of Ministers.
On 15 May 2017 with the order of Prime Minister Boyko Borisov Mrs. Yordanova was appointed Deputy Minister of Health.
